Our Mission

Heart Strings Alliance is a non profit organization, based and operated in South Florida, that connects volunteer high school musicians with assisted living facilities, offering students the chance to share live music while enriching the lives of seniors through meaningful, intergenerational connection and joy. 

Why Should You Volunteer?

So many senior living homes don’t have the amount of programming that they need. Heart Strings Alliance allows high school volunteer musicians to share their love and passion for music with the elderly who appreciate those moments of joy. By volunteering with us, you will make a difference, practice your musical skills, earn volunteer hours, and most importantly, bring joy to not only the elderly, but to yourself.

How It Works

If you would like to be a volunteer, follow these steps:

1. Fill out the volunteer form to be accepted into our program.
2. After being admitted, create a log in! (Note: Being accepted is a verification process for safety reasons that can take up to a couple of days.) 
3. Once you are officially apart of our team, you will get updates about volunteering opportunities through volunteer invitations that you can RSVP to! 

If you are a senior living facility looking to partner with us, please follow these steps: 

1. Fill out the senior living homes form to be accepted into our program. 
2. After being admitted, you get a display slot on our bio page for senior living homes. (Note: Being accepted is a verification process for safety reasons that can take up to a couple of days.) 
4. Once your facility is up on the bio page, you can begin to notify Heart Strings Alliance via email about available dates for volunteering. We will then work together to send out email invitations to all of our volunteers that they can RSVP to.

What Happens After We Join Heart Strings Alliance?

Volunteers:

Volunteers will be on an email list where they receive updates and invitations from senior living homes and Heart Strings Alliance. These invitations will contain all details including dates, times, etc. Important: Anytime a volunteer attends a volunteering opportunity, they must fill out a google form which will be sent to them, proving that they volunteered. This is a requirement. Once confirmed, the volunteer with earn community service hours.

Senior Living Homes:

Stay regularly connected with Heart Strings Alliance and update them on your availability! Together, we will work to send out emails with availability dates, connecting our volunteers with the elders.
